August started at full tilt. The big work project ate most of the first two weeks, and I spent more evenings at my desk than I’d like to admit. But somewhere around the middle of the month, things finally loosened up.
The third week was the turning point. I wrapped the project on Thursday and had my first proper weekend in ages — a slow Saturday with no plans, then the farmers’ market, where the strawberries were frankly unreal. I ate half the punnet before I even got home.
The honest theme of the month was learning where my limits actually are.
It wasn’t all golden. I missed Priya’s birthday dinner because I was completely wiped, and felt pretty guilty about it. But by the last Sunday I felt like myself again.
If August had a title, it’d be the one at the top. Thanks for reading, friends — see you in the next one.
